Healthier, Safer Schools
What funds are available for K-12 school districts?
To prevent, prepare, and respond to COVID-19, Congress has allocated funds through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund.
ESSER funds can be used for school facilities repairs and improvements to reduce the risk of virus transmission and exposure to environmental health hazards, and to support student health needs.
Funds are allocated based on the same proportion as Title 1, Part A awards. Each state has a process identified for awarding funds to their Local Education Agencies, typically found on each State Department of Education or State Department of Purchasing websites
